On the day I was sworn into Congress, I took a sacred oath, similar to the one that I took when I was sworn into the Navy. That oath is to defend the United States from all enemies – foreign and domestic. Count on this: I will keep my oath.

There is no justification for short-changing the brave men and women who have proudly worn the uniform of our nation's Armed Forces!

I am a Reagan Republican – a real conservative on both fiscal and social issues and a staunch supporter of American military might.

Tax reform ought to be a national economic imperative. As your Congressman, tax reform has been one my top priorities.
