At an early age I had an interest in spiritual things.  At the age of six, I remember asking my mom to explain to me about Jesus and how to be saved.  I professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Over the many years since, I have grown and matured in my faith.  I live out my values every single day.  I have applied practical Christian principles to every aspect of life – as husband who dearly loves and honors his wife, as dad devoted to my four children, in the way I serve my patients through my medical practice, in the way my non-medical businesses treat employees and customers, and in the way that I respect others.

Cindy and I have been happily married for over 29 years.  From the beginning we dedicated our marriage and our home to the Lord.

I am humbled to say that we have successfully parented four children, two daughters and two sons, who are now young adults.  We are thankful that their lives are a positive reflection of their Christian upbringing and the values that we instilled in them.

My home church is First Baptist in Minden where I have served as a Deacon and teach a young adult Sunday School class.

As your Congressman, I will be informed by my faith.  Rest assured that I will not check our shared values at the door of the House.
